Join Us for the Grand 30th Anniversary Community Banquet at Dar-us-Salaam!
This year marks a monumental milestone in the history of our beloved community at Dar-us-Salaam. As we celebrate 30 years of growth, faith, and service, we invite you to join us for a special Grand Community Banquet on December 7th, where we will gather as one community to reflect on our shared achievements and raise vital funds to continue building the future of our Muslim community.
The Impact of 30 Years: A Reflection of Success
The 2024 Impact Report, which is now available on our website, encapsulates the incredible strides we have made in the past three decades. This beautifully compiled report showcases how together we have:
Built and expanded Al-Huda School and Al-Huda Global School: Al-Huda School, a cornerstone of Dar-us-Salaam’s educational mission, has grown into a beacon of excellence, serving hundreds of students from grades K-12. The school provides a comprehensive Islamic education, offering both religious and academic studies in a nurturing environment. Over the years, our students have excelled in academics, character, and community involvement. Al-Huda has not only provided academic knowledge but has also instilled strong Islamic values, preparing students to become leaders who will carry our faith forward (read our alumni achievements in the 18th page of this report ).We have also expanded our Islamic education efforts globally by successfully running Al-Huda Global School, an online Islamic school, which held its first-ever high school graduation ceremony this year. Your impact extends far beyond our community in Maryland, reaching Muslims around the world!
Launched the Hifzh School: Our Hifzh School has become an integral part of our educational efforts, guiding students on their journey to memorize and understand the Qur’an. As our first ever senior citizen Qur’an Institute Hafizh, Br. Atif Nuriddin shared, “My journey with Islam began by reading the Qur’an, and it changed my life completely. To everyone out there, no matter your age or background, you can do it. Just stick with it, keep plugging away, and never stop.” This is the spirit we foster in our Hifzh program – one that encourages perseverance and dedication, no matter where or when you start.
Expanded our services to include community outreach programs (Ansaar-ul-Birr), youth activities (DUS Youth), and women’s empowerment initiatives through projects like iMuslimah.
Provided scholarships and financial assistance to help families in need, ensuring that no one is left behind.
Developed robust interfaith and social programs, reinforcing our commitment to harmony and collaboration with the broader community.
And so much more! This report is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and spirit of all of you who have supported Dar-us-Salaam over the years. Every contribution, big or small, has played a part in helping us build a stronger, more vibrant community.
Together, We Build for the Future
The 30th Anniversary Community Banquet on December 7th will not only be a celebration of what we have accomplished, but also a call to action.
