Ramadan 2026 was nothing short of a gift. As we look back on the blessed month, we are filled with gratitude to Allah, to our generous community, and to every volunteer, sponsor, and family who made this Ramadan so hearty and impactful.
Throughout the month, Dar-us-Salaam hosted community iftars every weekend, with Fridays added during the final phase. At peak gatherings, we served an estimated 250 to 300 community members per day. One of the most memorable moments was when the Dar-us-Salaam Hifzh School students, supported by their parents, sponsored and hosted a full iftar banquet — a beautiful example of youth carrying their responsibility to the community with heart.
“This year’s iftars ran more smoothly than ever, built on years of experience and a commitment to continuous improvement. Expanding our serving stations from one to two, and sometimes three, significantly reduced wait times and helped manage the flow of hundreds of guests. Volunteers arrived early to set up and prepare, ensuring that when salah concluded, food service could begin without delay.”

Dar-us-Salaam welcomed several Muslim organizations during Ramadan for fundraising: United Hands for Relief, UMR, BDesh, Heroic Hearts, Helping Hand, Al-Kisai Institute, ILIA, ICNA Relief, Human Development Fund, and Islamic Relief USA. Their visit enriched our community and reminded us that Darus-Salaam is part of a much larger Muslim ummah. Each of them was equipped with Square terminals, donation boxes, volunteers, and flier support. Beautifully, several of these same organizations gave back by sponsoring iftars.

None of this happens without you. To every volunteer, donor, and family who showed up through their presence, their food, and their continuous du’aas— Jazakumullahu Khairan. May Allah accept from us all.
