On June 4, 2025, former Al-Huda School student and Dar-us-Salaam Hifzh School graduate Brother Adnan Zaber received a “You Make a Difference Award” from NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, celebrating his hard work on their PACE (Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, Ocean Ecosystem) mission! This is what he had to share:
“Alhamdulillah, I am honored to receive an award presented by Kelvin Manning, Kennedy Space Center’s Acting Center Director, and Burton Summerfield, Associate Director of Management, in recognition of my efforts on NASA’s PACE mission.
PACE launched last year to study ocean health and gain deeper insight into how aerosols and clouds affect Earth’s climate.
“As the Mission Telemetry Engineer, I represented the Ground Systems Branch in the Launch Vehicle Readiness Review, shared system status updates, and ensured that all telemetry processing and data communication resources were fully ready and operational to support both testing and launch.
“I am grateful to be part of such a meaningful mission — and I look forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead as we prepare for future launches.”
Dar-us-Salaam extends its congratulations to Brother Adnan Zaber! May Allah bless you in all your future endeavors and allow your work to leave a positive impact on the world, Ameen.
