Ansaar-ul-Birr Receives Heartfelt Thank You Letter From Local Family
When Giving A Little Goes A Long Way

When you donate to our social service team, Ansaar-ul-Birr, you’re probably unaware of just how far that donation goes — no matter how big or small the amount is. Your support fuels our social service machine. From distributing pantry staples and household supplies to hosting meal giveaways, all of your efforts go towards supporting local deserving families, Muslim and non-Muslim alike. With rising grocery prices and inflation, keeping food on the table has become a struggle for more and more families. It is through our social service arm Ansaar-ul-Birr that we connect with the local community, build bonds of brotherhood, and give people a helping hand and a sense of relief and hope, especially to those who don’t even know where their next meal is coming from.

Recently, one local family shared a heartfelt letter of gratitude that reflects how Ansaar-ulBirr social services support families in need throughout our community:

Asalamu alaykum Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh Ansaar-ul-Birr,

I want to take a moment to acknowledge the blessing that Allah chose each of you to be a part of our community. There are no words to begin to express my family’s gratitude to each and every member of your team and the donors who generously donate too.

As a family in the community who has received the blessings from Allah through each of your countless hours of hard work and dedication, I want to express how your services and the donations given to your services impact Muslim families like mine.

My family is below the poverty level and was denied food stamps over the last several years. Trying to care for the basic food and house supplies for my family of four is a tremendous task. Almost every other week, our groceries drop or run out. We are left to juggle bills around to make sure that there is basic food on the table.

At times, I have to delay a bill to ensure my kids have food to eat. I have strong faith in Allah and always make duas to Him alone. One of the areas I make dua to Him for is sustenance. SubhanAllah all too often, especially during the summer when I am out of work, my du’aas go to work.

I remember making specific du’aas to Allah, and the next day, I received a family sized delivery of food necessities, as well as basic cleaning and housing necessities. Allah is my witness. The day I got those packages, it felt like Eid.

SubhanAllah, without asking, Allah placed the majority of specific items needed for food and housing necessities in the delivery, I thought to myself, “How can this be?” But Allah says, “Be and it is.” SubhanAllah

Every time the organization goes to deliver, they do so just for Allah. There are no words for the countless volunteers and organizers to express our gratitude. However, just know, Allah called your hearts to deliver to families like mine on a daily basis who are struggling to put food on the table.

There are so many families in need, and through this organization and the amazing donors, your hard work is going to great use. Allah says that if you save the life of a person, it’s as though you saved all mankind. Each of you are saving countless family lives every day.

Allah is my witness. Every time I call on Him, without asking, Ansaar-ul-Birr is there. This is organized by the Almighty Allah. From groceries to meat to hot delicious cooked meals, etc., my family has benefited from your services and donations.

To be honest, these blessings are better than Eid. You are saving our lives.

I want to sincerely thank every member of this organization, donors, etc, for your brotherhood and sisterhood. You are Allah’s helpers. May Allah shower each of you with Jannat-ul-Firdous, open the doors of mercy for your affairs, and reward you both in the dunya and akirah for all your help.

From my family’s heart to each of you, Jazakum Allahu Khairan.

This family’s letter is one example of how these broader services provide relief and support to families facing hardship.
