Two NEW Immersion Arabic classes for girls (ages 8 – 18 years), taught by Sr. Maha Rashed are now open for registration!

Learning Arabic is an essential part of understanding the Qur’an. As Muslims, we should all be students of the beautiful language that Allah chose to reveal the Qur’an in. Arabic

Sr. Maha has 15 years of experience teaching Arabic and Quran to students, onsite and online, in the United States and Japan. Her book, “Learn How to Read and Recite Al-Quran” is being used as part of Islamic School curricula in the USA, Canada, and the U.K.

✏️ IMMERSION ARABIC (BEGINNER LEVEL)

Class Timings:       Saturdays and Sundays (1:30 pm – 3:00 pm)
Duration for Module 1: January 9, 2021 – April 4, 2021
Fee for Module 1:     $180 (or 3 installments of $60)

Course Outline
Curriculum: The curriculum that will be used is the أحب العربية Uhibbul Arabiyyah series. Each lesson contains systematic instruction on vocabulary, sentence structure, and expressions.

Objectives: Our goal is to enable students to develop Arabic verbal communication skills and create an opportunity to apply these skills to real-life situations.

Methodology: We will use engaging games and activities to get students to speak and understand Arabic in a fun and exciting setting.

Prerequisites: Students must be motivated to learn and be familiar with the Arabic alphabet but no further background in Arabic is required.

📝 IMMERSION ARABIC (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL)

Class Timings:       Saturdays and Sundays (9:00 am – 10:00 am)
Duration for Module 1: January 9, 2021 – April 4, 2021
Fee for Module 1:     $150 (or 3 installments of $50)

Course Outline
Curriculum: The curriculum that will be used is the Arabic language book لغتنا الجميلة Grade level 4 for Arabic speakers.

Learning Outcomes: The students will be introduced to Arabic grammar ‘نحو’ and learn advanced vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms, and homophones. This will help develop the students’ reading and writing skills.

Prerequisites: Students must be able to read and understand basic Arabic texts and be able to communicate in Arabic.
