Alot can happen in one summer. For Muslim families seeking to satiate an appetite for Islamic education, Al-Huda School’s Summer Camp offers a glimpse into the depth and structure of a full-time, Allah-centered environment without the year-long commitment.
Offered in 3-week and 6-week formats, students are assigned to either Qur’an Reading Camp or Intensive Hifzh Camp, each designed to advance their reading, tajweed, and understanding of the Qur’an.
Beyond their daily Qur’an track, students enjoy field trips, onsite activities, and sports. Past favorites include Lab Day, Fruit Kabobs and Fun Day, and Splash Day, with this year’s lineup being finalized by a team of Al-Huda high school leadership interns.

“As an organizer of the summer camp at Al-Huda School, I think it’s really important— not just in the school year, but also throughout the summer— that we practice and review our Qur’an and Islamic Studies, so that we can be constantly reminded of our religion and our Deen,” said Al-Huda School Class of 2028, Maysa Ahsan.
The same students molded by Al-Huda’s mission— to Know, Show, Grow, and Glow with Allah’s message— are now its most compelling proof.
“I memorized a whole surah during [Al-Huda School] Summer Camp. Surah Al-Ghashiyah. It’s one of my favorite Surahs. Summer camp is very fun. I love Field Day and Splash Day. All my friends were there, and I even got to help them with certain ayahs,”

For students who aren’t enrolled in an Islamic school during the academic year, Al-Huda School Summer Camp is a bridge back to the Muslim community, reconnecting them with the same brothers and sisters they might otherwise only see during Ramadan or Eid.
Leadership Interns are entrusted with a jewel more rare than a bullet point on a college resume.
As teacher’s aides and student organizers, AlHuda School students not only plan and execute onsite activities, but also mentor younger campers through the very verses that continue to sculpt their own Islamic character
“When it came to organizing the Summer camp this year, I learned that it takes a lot of cooperation and the importance of Shura (consultation). Because even though the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) had Wahiy (divine revelation), he still consulted others in order to make agreements, so I learned that a lot during the planning of [the camp],” said Al-Huda School Class of 2028, Sumayyah Islam.
There are countless ways to spend the summer, but only one softens the heart.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) relayed Allah’s promise: “If [My servant] comes towards me walking, I go to him running,”
