Alhamdulillah, our Tooba courses have made a comeback!
In the early 2010s, Tooba University, one of many of Dar-us-Salaam’s projects, launched its program with 150 students. The aim for the future is for Dar-us-Salaam to be able to provide higher level Islamic education to adults, allowing them to earn Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Islamic Studies through its Tooba University program, in shaa Allah.
Recently, Tooba courses have officially resumed at Dar-us-Salaam. The classes are being held twice a month: one virtual class on the first Saturday of the month, and one in-person class on the third Saturday of the month (every 2 weeks).
Our last few courses included two sessions on inheritance laws with Dr. Ahmad Abdelwahab, and a Marriage 101 in-person workshop & seminar in collaboration with local Imams: Imam Aqil Ingram from Aql Institute, Imam Hassan Mohamed from PGMA, and Imam Mohamed Abdullahi from MCC, alongside our Dar-us-Salaam Imams, Imam Safi Khan and Imam Sabri Benkahla.
Alhamdulillah, we’ve been seeing great turnout for these courses! If you’re interested in learning more about our upcoming Tooba sessions, make sure to join our whatsapp community group to stay up to date on all our events.
